I am well researched on toy safety, and I am concerned for the safety of all parrots, I would not make or sell anything unless I was certain it was safe for your parrot, I do everything humanly possible to keep your parrot safe.
for my handmade toys I take every step (and one step more) in making sure all my materials are safe, I use good quality untreated pine,
all my wood I purchase is in sealed packs from B&Q, I use the best quality veg tanned leather on all my toy’s, I get my leather direct from the tannery, this way I can be sure it is natural, with no finishes etc... Unlike the leather you find in most parrot toys.
All my Designs are examined carefully for safety, looking beyond the newness for potential problems as wear and tear occurs.
Please note that I do everything humanly possible to keep your bird safe, but as with any parrot toy, you must always check toys on a regular basis for continued safety. also please make sure you buy the right size toy for your bird, a major mistake people make when buying their birds toys, is buying the wrong size toy for their bird,
Smaller beaks may really love larger pieces of wood to chew, and this would be fine, but a toy meant for a smaller beak could be dangerous for the large beak dismantling it, also hoops in toys ment for a small parrots could strangle a large parrot

Besides the large selection of toys I make, I do sell a handful of toy items that are made by other manufacturers. These I call my recommended toys, they have been very carefully chosen, I only sell the safest toys, some you will find have been changed slightly by me, this is if I feel the toy needs something more adding to it to make it more fun, or in some cases parts may need changing for safety reasons.
I also stock a selection of toy parts including all the zoo-max acrylic shapes, in the future I hope to sell stainless steel hardware, chain, washers, wire etc..
